Grace Learning Institute

 

In keeping with our core purpose statement of "becoming like Christ" we place a high value on the study and application of God's Word.
At the Grace Learning Institute we offer in-depth Bible study classes for teens and adults that place an emphasis on personal growth and the understanding of God's Word.
Classes are offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8pm, while keeping with the college semester system.

Bibliology

In this course we will learn what the Bible has to say about itself by studying revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, canonicity, and reservation as well as look into translations and versions.

 
 

Intro to the Old Testament

In this course we will travel along the timeline of the Old Testament to reveal its major theme and continuity. We will find sub-narratives within the overarching narrative of the Old Testament as we see Christ exalted in every book.

 

Intro to the New Testament

In this course we will explore the 400 years of history between the Biblical Testaments while explaining Jewish life in the first century.

We will also outline each New Testament book.

In this course we will look at the life and message of Christ throughout the Gospel narratives.

Hermeneutics

In this course we will look into the process of studying the Scriptures and begin to form profitable study habits whereby gaining a deeper reverence for the Bible.

Theology 101

In this course we will seek the Scriptures to find a better understanding of who God is, what He does, and how we fit into His story.

 
Christology

In this course we will gain a better understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done, is doing, and will do. As we properly understand, we will more passionately worship & adore Him.

 
Pneumatology

In this course we will gain a better understanding of who the Holy Spirit is as well as understand His current and active role in our lives today.

 
Ecclesiology

In this course we will gain a Biblical understanding of the Church, its purpose, and structure. We will be challenged to love the Church like never before and desire to be a part of it for God’s glory.

In this course we will take an in-depth look at Missions and discuss both “worldwide” missions and “lifestyle” missions. We will learn how Christ was on Mission and realize how we too should be.

In this course we will take a look into end-times events. We will study several different perspectives being taught to the church today as well as generally overview the books of Daniel and Revelation.

In this course we will delve into the rich history of the Church and will develop a better understanding of why we do what we do.

 
Discipleship 101

In this course we will discover and understand the meaning of discipleship, its Biblical foundation, and its mandate. We will explore several personal, spiritual disciplines for the purpose of serving Christ and the Church by being more discipleship-minded.

 
Discipleship 201

In this course we will encourage each other through one-on-one discipleship and accountability by learning how to be a disciple and how to lead other disciples. This is a small class that requires home work as well as the completion of D101

 
Evangelism 101

In this course we will discuss Evangelism by studying the doctrine of salvation, and we will explore some evangelistic tools that will assist us in sharing our faith.

 
Biblical Worldview

In this course we will look at the progressive digression of Biblical thought throughout the History of America. We will explore other worldviews with the purpose of being further grounded in our own.

 
The Christian Life

In this course we will look through the writings of Paul and examine what being a “follower of Christ” means. We will attempt to better understand what the Gospel’s great transformation brings about in our lives. We will also be exhorted to live out that Gospel before the lives of those around us.

 
The Gospel

In this course we will understand the Biblically faithful explanation to the question, “What is the Gospel?” In doing so, we will be Gospel-centered— understanding the true Gospel and being enabled to discern deviations from Christ’s glorious message.

 
Ephesians

In this course we will take an expositional look at the book of Ephesians and discuss its rich Theology and its Revelation of who we are in Christ.

Church Conferences/ Electives

 
Marriage Conference

During this weekend-seminar Grace will feature guest teachers. Instruction will include topics such as gender roles, relationships, raising children, and marital finances.

 
Missions Conference

During this weekend-seminar Grace will feature guest speakers and missionaries. We will talk about the Great Commission and what it means to be “On Mission” for Christ and His Gospel.
