VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
IS HERE!!

Picture

God has blessed our church with outstanding leadership this year in the two directors who will be leading this year’s Vacation Bible School. We rejoice in the commitment, dedication and selfless energy of Carol Childers and Susan Dominicali. The teaching staff, administrative leaders and VBS support workers are the best any church can ever anticipate. I have been so impressed by the partnership exhibited by every participant. This is a unified effort. Everyone is on board and eager to see God do an amazing work in the lives of child enrolled next week in our “GAME ON” Vacation Bible School Ministry.

Listen to this year’s Bible memory verse:
“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3)

Think about the pressures and expectations children face today to excel in their efforts to achieve acceptance and validation at home, at school, in athletics, and in their social circles with friends and advisors. More pressure is forced upon children today than ever. Not so with God. God just gives them everything they need. Every child is a contribution to God’s glory and goodness. Every child is a testimony of godliness and knowledge of the things that are really important. When you look into the face of a child, you see the face of God looking back at you. God’s divine power is reflected in the lives of our children. If you want to see what God looks like, look at your children.

Your attitude, your acceptance, your compassion toward children shows everybody what’s in your soul. Jesus said:
“Suffer the children to come unto me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19:14)

Parents who are eager to teach their children about Jesus show everybody what’s in their soul. Churches who make children a priority show what the collective soul of the entire congregation looks like. If you want to see heaven this next week, join our children in Vacation Bible School and hang out for a while. You’ll learn more about what God is like than any sermon, book, web site or conference can possibly offer. I am totally PUMPED about what God going to do at Grace next week as we get our “GAME ON” and let God show us His power and godliness demonstrated through our children who praise, worship, memorize verses, play, jump and dance, lift their arms, make noise, drop crumbs, hug, and embrace the things of God all because they love Jesus.

GET YOURSELF READY!
GET YOUR GAME ON!
PRAY!

GET UP
AND

JOIN IN THE FUN!

Honestly, I want to enroll myself in Vacation Bible Ministry for I know that it is one of the few ways to be connected to God. It is good to expose our children to Bible, especially to the words of God because it is important. Exposing our children to God's words will make them even more responsible and God-fearing people. They will know what's right and what is moral if they became closer to God. That's definitely a good thing!

The Bible is not a book you finish reading.
It is a book that you read so that it may finish you.
